vocabulary

 COMBAT SYSTEM EXPLAINED.  — strengths, weaknesses, status
4 affinities: 幻 (red), 影 (blue), 夜 (green), 行 (yellow) — each have a weakness (1.5x dmg mltiplier when attacked) and a strength (1.4x dmg multiplier on attacking) —
6 roles, indicated in a rectangle next to the type, and just below the character name: offensive (攻撃) — centered around brut damage, defense (防衛) — acts as tank, support (強化) — provides buffs to allies and self, agitator (妨害) — specializes in inflicting weakening status effects on enemies, saboteur (弱体) — debuffs and weakens enemies, healer (回復).
3 types, indicated by the square below character name: indicates which stat is prioritized when attacking, either melee (literally taijutsu 体術) or magic/curse energy (jujutsu 術式) (or both in certain cases). 体 (physical), 術 (jujutsu), 複 (combination) — both jujutsu and melee focused.
cards abilities and activation: can be activated either by a regular skill or only when performing a special. card abilities usually buff the character, and sometimes allies. the different buffs’ description is coming soon.
collaboration system: when two characters use their special simultaneously (in the same round), they can enter a collaboration (depicted by a pink line joining the two characters’ icons on the screen). you will get a dual screen and a white screen with the two characters’ sprite and special lines (generic to collaboration or ally specific lines!). when entering a collaboration, the characters gain buffs and deal additional damages; those are determined by the characters used (you get both buffs and damages listed).
